My Mission

As an individual therapist, I believe we all have the strength within us, but sometimes it gets pushed down for different reasons. My goal is to help my clients to bring this power and strength back to the surface. I started helping the local community in Burbank, CA many years ago, and over that time, I have been giving my best to earn their trust. I do not want to force people to use my service just because I have the qualifications for it.

I know how hard it can be to find someone you can trust. My mission is to help you find your inner self and make positive changes in your life. For that reason, I give my clients free consultations which usually last up to 30 minutes. During this initial meeting, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the individual therapy process, and my approach, and get a feeling of how it would be to work together. If we are not the right match, I will be more than happy to provide referrals to other specialists.

My Story

My name is Carlyn Suriano, and I am a licensed individual therapist and a clinical social worker who received my Masters in Social Work in 2004. Over the years, I have worked in various settings. I have experience in working with relationship difficulties, depression, and anxiety in addition to life or career transitions and the management of chronic illness.

I am also actively involved in taking Continuing Education classes throughout the year to keep up to date in my field. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers, which keeps me current clinically and politically, and it reminds me of the importance of advocating for what you believe in.

My specialties include the following: individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, domestic violence, and most recently, the ups and downs of life in the entertainment industry, most specifically the effects on an individual, marriage, and family.
